'Kindred Spirits' the feature length script based on my Sit-Com should be entering pre-production any time soon. It is being produced/directed by Bill Hutchens (Human Centipede II) and is to be filmed in Australia. More details as I get them!

GREAT NEWS! I have just signed the option agreement for my feature length script 'Kindred Spirits' (which was based on my other scripts in the 'Spiritual Connections' series. More news as I get it, but for the moment, I've had to remove the script during the option period.

The first draft of the Feature Length script commissioned by the Director/Producer of 'The Departure Lounge' is now finished and in his hands. Quite pleased with it, although it will need some tinkering with. You can read it on the scripts page.

A busy few weeks- Finally completed the feature length version of 'Kindred Spirits', based on the hugely well received series 'Spiritual Connections', a new short gross-out comedy called 'The Drunken Promise' and the 'OCDrama' 'Small acts of female eccentricities'. 16/04/10 - Departure Lounge Shoot Date Confirmed!

Following extensive pre-production (and various re-writes), I am pleased to comfirm that 'The Departure Lounge' is set to be filmed on the 7th and 8th of July this year, in downtown Indianapolis. There's some sort of raffle taking place on the 1st of July to help fund/find extras at 'The Slippery Noodle', too. 16/04/10 - What the hell is happening to 'Pride'???

So, I had the basis in my head for a short script, everything planned mentally. I start putting pen to paper (or finger to keyboard) and it all goes out the window. What was originally going to be a 8 page short is now at the 20 page mark, and I've not even introduced the original idea that I had into it! This, I hope, is a very good sign. I could do with a good feature length under my belt. Could this be the one?

08/04/10- 'Pride' is well underway.

Had a bit of a graft this afternoon and started working on my new script 'Pride'. First six pages are done and the difficult (I always find) opening scenes are done, so hopefully the rest should write itself. It's taken quite a different turn to how I had mentally planned it, but that's usually a good sign.

04/04/10- Clique to be made flesh?

More great news- It seems that another young director/producer is interested in 'Clique'. I've given the go-ahead, so we'll see what happens. More news as it comes!

I'm planning on starting work on a new short over the next few days (hopefully). It's provisionally titled 'Pride' at the moment, and follows two confidence tricksters conning and assaulting an elderly victim.

On a (much) lighter note, I've completed the opening scene for Series 2 Episode 1 of 'Spiritual Connections'. You can read a rough draft preview here.

28/03/2010 - Another short being produced..

It's looking highly likely that 'The Departure Lounge' is going to be made into a short film. From the info I know so far, the only change that is going to be needed is the location- it's going to be set at a Railway Station in Denver now, instead of a Airport Departure Lounge (although I guess the title may have to be changed too. We've not discussed it yet, but I think it would still work simply being called 'The Departure'?).

The producer/director, Bryce Clausen promises to keep me up to date with the process, and I'll put any info on here, as and when I get it. He also has a show reel on youtube, click here to check it out.

02/03/2010 - Main site undergoing changes...

You may have noticed that the site has changed somewhat over the last few days. This is because I'm trying to use this site to showcase the work of other writers, and not just my own. I'd appreciate it if you could head over to the forums, have a look at the work on there, and maybe leave some feedback. I'd appreciate it even more if you were to submit your own work to be hosted here!

26/12/09- Spiritual Connections to be produced...

Spiritual Connections is gonna be filmed (episode one, at least)! A Canadian producer is using episode 1 as part three in his trilogy (part I is currnently in post-production and part II starts fairly soon). I'll put more news on as I get it.

12/12/09- New short screenplay completed.

13/11/09- Sit-com finally finished!

I've just finished the first draft of the final episode of 'Spiritual Connections' (ep. 6). I like to try and have a bit of a shock ending to all the episodes, and hopefully this one doesn't disappoint! I'm glad to have tied up the series, and I think this is my favourite episode so far. Who knows if I'll be re-uniting the characters for a second series? I love the characters, but then again, with this ending......

25/10 09- A mad week- finished another two episodes of my Sit-Com

I somehow managed to finish a further two episodes of 'Spiritual Connections'. I'm really happy with how the characters lives are unfolding, I hope you agree! I've posted episodes two and three on the site now, and part four will be up shortly, after it's been tinkered with a little.

11/10/09- Started work on Episode 2 of Spiritual Connections.

I have been busy working on the follow up episode to the original pilot of 'Spiritual Connections', and I have to admit, I really love writing for the character of Mary. And it's not just me- she's a popular lass if some of the reviews I've had are anything to go by. I'm about ten pages in at the moment, so not really enough to post up yet, but watch this space.

09/10/09- Five Lamps Film night in Derby.

Looking forward to the Derby Film festival at the quad in Derby on the 27th of October, even more so because they're showing my old school chum, Tommy Draper's film there- the world premiere, no less. Tickets are FREE! You can book them here- FIVELAMPS FILMS.

26/09/09- Back to the real world.

After a hectic couple of weeks, namely getting married and a mini-cruise to Amsterdam, I have returned back to the real world with a bump.

I hope to resume writing after a little more r&r!

Was greeted upon my arrival back home by a postcard from the BBC writers room, stating that they had recieved the script for 'Spiritual Connections', and I should hear from them within four months!

09/09/09- 'Spiritual Connections' submitted to the BBC.

I've just posted the final draft of my sit-com 'Spiritual Connections' to the Beeb's submissions department. Fingers crossed now...

25/08/09- Started work on sitcom 'pilot'

I'm beavering away on a pilot episode for a sitcom, following a suggestion from someone who had read a draft of 'Heavenly Intentions'.

She seemed to think with a bit of a rework, it would make a great situation comedy.

It is taking a very dark path at the moment though, very sick!

I'll post a draft up here, as soon as I'm anywhere near happy with it.

12/08/09- Producer interested in making 'Playing God'

I recieved an E-mail from a film producer from Arizona, interested in producing 'Playing God'.

He seems very keen in making this project a reality, so fingers crossed it will all go ahead.

I'll keep you posted.

30/07/09- Busy at the moment working on two screenplays-

Supply And Demand, which is about a young mother who's daughter is kidnapped. Confused and unable to pay the ransom, she negotiates a questionable deal with an unscrupulous money lender, resulting in her working the streets to keep up with re-payments.

Long Lost, which follows James, who, after the death of his mother, begins reflecting on the past in a frank discussion with a mysterious stranger.

I'll put samples on the site as soon as I'm happy with them, they're still in rough draft at the moment.

20/07/09- My third short- Emergency Service, appears to be going down pretty well with readers on the Simply Scripts Discussion Board.

05/05/09- Work started on 'Playing God', a short Sci-fi script. Have the general idea of where it's going, just need to work out how.....

25/04/09- 'Four' is very nearly complete. Just a little bit of tinkering to do.
